The Otto House Room Design Service

Are you struggling to make decisions about a room in your house? Are you feeling overwhelmed and want some help to steer you in the right direction?

My name is Hannah, and I have experience renovating three family homes in the last 6 years, from a small Victorian mid-terrace, to a 1930s semi, and the thatched cottage in which I currently live.

My projects have featured in multiple national interiors magazines and international blogs, and I have worked with brands including Dulux, John Lewis, Cotswold Co, Mylands and W.Morris & Co. I love to create harmonious spaces with a soft neutral base and warm pops of colour.

I have extensive knowledge of which colours, tones and textures work well together, bringing the best out of the available space without overwhelming it. I understand the need to work to a budget, creating interesting and practical schemes which work for all the family.

Example of work carried out for a client:

Design Brief: To create a cosy adult living space for use in the winter evenings, with an area at the back that can be used for yoga and to store small gym equipment.

Testimonial:

‘I have previously scoffed at the idea of someone advising me on interior design, partly due to the prohibitive cost of such things, but also due to me never really trusting that someone would understand my taste.

We have a slightly strange multi-use room with some tricky aspects to it, and Hannah listened to our ideas for the room, asking questions to gauge our opinions on certain things, including what our budget would be.

I especially liked the fact that a lot of the options Hannah suggested in her design were from high-street stores, making the whole process affordable yet still beautiful. As busy working professionals with young children, we don’t have the time to give the research process justice ourselves so Hannah was a great help.

Hannah prepared some lovely ideas, with digital drawings suggesting everything from paint colours to built-in furniture styles, and a list of accessories from cushions, to storage and wall lights.

We were both impressed with Hannah’s creativity, knowledge, and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend Hannah; she has a real passion for this which  is clearly evident at each stage in the process!’
